Our Values

People matter to us

Here at Rise Women we believe in the following Core Values. As part of Rise Women, we are here to build strong friendships with women in leadership. To help, assist, listen and equip. To do this well we believe that:

  1. Confidentiality is key

It is vital that trust is built for any relationship to have depth. We expect all of our leaders and mentors to retain the confidentiality of the person they are mentoring. Sometimes in exceptionally difficult situations your mentor may need to speak to their team leader but they will keep you fully in the loop and make you aware of this before any information is shared. We are also aware of our legal duties of care should any woman be in danger (or those in her household), or if any criminal offence has occurred. These are rare circumstances and in normal, every day life confidentiality is a core value of Rise Women.

2. Theology is important

We teach out of what we know and understand. That is why community is essential in understanding the Bible. There is wisdom in the many. Here at Rise Women we have a statement of faith that we ask all of our Mentors to adhere to and uphold you can view this below. If you have any questions or concerns please do contact us. It is vital that we teach from a place of good, sound doctrine. As humans we can sometimes be fallible in our understanding of truth, which is why we must all be teachable and planted in good churches to understand good doctrine. Ultimately, the Bible is our final word and foundation.

3. People Matter

We believe every single woman deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. It is our starting point. Love is kind (1 Corinthians 13:8). As leaders we set the standards for those we lead.  Jesus said ‘Do to others what you would like done to yourself (Matthew 7:12). Let’s be the leaders we would have wanted for ourselves - courteous, respectful, loving, unafraid to challenge but always speaking the truth in love.

4. Community takes Commitment

Being part of any community will always require commitment. There are times of great joy but there are also times when you or others will need support through hardship and difficulty.  Here at Rise Women we do not want anyone to feel isolated.  Let us encourage you to actively take note of the dates of the leadership forums, masterclasses and other resources so we can get to know you and you can get to know us. There is space for all personality types!

5. Love is a Choice

We uphold the definition of love as given in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. And we ask all who are part of Rise Women Network to treat each other with those core values "Love is patient and kind, love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way, it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things. Love never ends". Love is more than a warm feeling. Love is God Himself and Love is always seen in how we live and treat others. Let's be women that know how to love sacrificially and according to God's own definition.
